West Bank, November 1 (BNA): One of the world’s largest mosaics was unveiled after a multi-year, $12 million restoration project at Hisham’s Palace in Jericho, in the occupied West Bank.
On Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities unveiled the mosaics of the Umayyad period, a total of 38 carpet-like mosaic panels covering 827 square meters, according to Reuters.
Elevated platforms are built to ensure visitors can enjoy the mosaic site without stepping on it.
