We are looking for a Health Safety, Environment (PMC) Manager to join our ongoing leisure projects in Saudi Arabia. The HSE Manager will be responsible for leading the PMC HSE team, providing our clients with the assurance that consultants are performing their HSE responsibilities in accordance with their contract.
A normal week includes:
• Lead the HSE program and regularly attend meetings with the client to provide them with assurance that HSE is managed in accordance with legal and contractual obligations by all stakeholders
• Support the Project Manager, ensuring that our HSE commitments are met and that construction supervision consultants meet their legal and contractual obligations
• Ensure cooperation among all stakeholders, client, PMO, PMC, CSC and contractor on health and safety matters
• Obtaining a comprehensive view of the program and ensuring that risks are known and managed
• Ensure that WSP arrangements are implemented to ensure that our employees are protected from physical and psychological hazards
• Promote a positive culture of health, safety, environment, quality and wellbeing across the programme
• Take a proactive approach to risks and develop awareness campaigns for the program to ensure that risks are known and managed
• Driving a zero-harm vision across the program, resulting in the management and mitigation of fatal risks
• Proactively monitor HSE performance against defined KPIs and identify trends and ensure that they are addressed
• Provide sound advice, support and training on WSP and contractual requirements to HSE project management teams
• Manage PMC HSE resources, to ensure adequate coverage of each phase of the program
• Ensure that the PMC HSE team performs proactive monitoring of the work, through construction supervision consultant audits and special inspections of contractors under their supervision
• Identify areas for improvement across the programme. To support continuous improvement.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
• At least 10-15 years’ experience in HSE in the construction sector, with at least 5 years in a senior level HSE role working closely with leadership teams
• Hold the position of PMC
• At least 10 years of experience in amusement park and entertainment projects
• Previous experience of at least 5 years working in the Middle East – essential
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent qualification for health and safety
• Hold an IEMA environmental qualification or a NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or equivalent
• Holds an internal/external audit qualification, ISO 45001, 14001 or 9001
• An accredited member of a professional body such as IOSH, IIRSM or SocEnv.
