Manama, Dec. 4 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today at the Gudaibiya Palace, Chairman of the China National Group Company for Pharmaceutical Industries (Sinopharm), Liu Jingchen.
His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of internationally coordinated efforts to confront global health challenges, indicating the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting initiatives to protect global health security.
His Highness praised the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sinopharm Company in the field of health care, as part of the continuous efforts to ensure the health and safety of all.
His Highness also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between Bahrain and the Sinopharm company, pointing to the Kingdom’s participation in the third phase of antiviral clinical trials in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence and cloud computing company, Group 42 (G42), which was conducted. in the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China.
His Highness renewed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening coordination with relevant authorities and companies in the health care and treatment sector to achieve common aspirations.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sinopharm expressed his appreciation for His Highness’s support for international cooperation in health affairs.
The President also thanked the Kingdom of Bahrain for its constructive cooperation in promoting health and the common good of society, and wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and His Excellency the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al-Maliki.
