Manama, November 9 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, inaugurated, on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Bahrain International Airshow 2022 at Sakhir Air Base.
His Royal Highness affirmed the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to continue developing the promising sectors that contribute to the national development of the Kingdom, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness referred to the Kingdom’s attractive business and investment environment and commended Bahraini citizens for their creativity, innovation and wide-ranging achievements.
His Highness stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has attracted major international events through its firm presence in the exhibition and conference industry.
His Highness stressed that the Kingdom’s hosting of specialized international exhibitions and conferences, and its wide international participation, enhances its position as a global destination for events.
His Highness praised the success of the Bahrain International Airshow over the past ten years, adding that it has become a prominent event in the aviation industry. In this regard, His Highness attributed the success of the event to the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee.
His Highness toured the exhibition and visited the pavilions of the participating countries, during which His Highness was briefed on the latest technologies in the world of military and civil aviation from various countries.
His Highness also visited the National Pavilion of the United Arab Emirates and was briefed on his interests in the aviation industry. His Highness praised the development of Bahraini-Emirati relations, and added that the commitment of the UAE to participate in this exhibition and other events held in the Kingdom reflects the strength of the cooperation of the bilateral partnership between the two countries.
Concluding the tour, His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of the air show in the global events calendar as it provides an interactive platform for investors and stakeholders in the aviation industry.
His Highness thanked all the ministries and government agencies that contributed to organizing the exhibition.
The opening was also attended by a number of senior officials and distinguished guests participating in the exhibition.
