HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister inaugurates the King Hamad American Mission Hospital

Manama, Jan. 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, inaugurated today the King Hamad American Mission Hospital (KHAMH). It is located in A’ali.

His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted His Majesty the King’s steadfast support for development projects that enhance the Kingdom’s economic competitiveness and benefit citizens and residents.

His Highness stressed the importance of the health care sector and its main role in the comprehensive development of the Kingdom.

Noting that the newly established King Hamad Hospital is an extension of the long-standing partnership between Bahrain and the United States, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad stressed the more than 120-year legacy of the American Mission Hospital (AMH) as one of the first hospitals in the region since its opening. In the Kingdom of Bahrain on January 26, 1903, coinciding with the opening of Khama.

His Highness stressed the importance of quality and efficiency in achieving development plans that benefit citizens. In this regard, His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister indicated that investing in sustainable healthcare services remains a top priority.

His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasized the role of strategic partnerships with the private sector, especially in advancing the Kingdom’s national development. In this regard, His Royal Highness indicated how these partnerships contributed to accelerating the implementation of the various priorities within the economic recovery plan, which greatly improved the quality of services provided to Bahraini citizens.

In celebration of the opening of “Khama” Hospital, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad unveiled a commemorative shield and toured the various departments, where he was briefed on the medical services provided by the hospital.

His Highness praised the Ministry of Health’s efforts to expand access and improve medical services available to citizens and residents. This, in turn, has contributed to improving the efficiency of Bahrain’s healthcare sector, and the Kingdom’s broader development goals.

For his part, the CEO and Medical Director of the American Mission Hospital, Dr. George Sherian, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the opening of “Khama” hospital.

Dr. Sherian indicated that KHAMH Hospital was designed to provide modern and integrated treatment services, in line with the Kingdom’s aspirations for the healthcare sector.

Dr. Cherian affirmed AMH’s commitment to strengthening its partnerships and ensuring the continued provision of comprehensive health services, adding that KHAMH Hospital is equipped with the latest laboratories, simulation rooms, medical facilities, a library and an auditorium to enhance its social responsibility. teaching hospital. The newly established King Hamad American Mission Hospital provides a wide range of healthcare services and has 125 beds, women’s and children’s wards, and a ward for various medical and surgical specialties. It also provides operating rooms, intensive care units, a 20-bed dialysis unit, a laboratory, and a radiology center with the latest technologies and medical devices.
