HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister chairs the weekly Cabinet Meeting

Manama, April 3 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired today the weekly cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

The Cabinet emphasized the importance of the talks that took place between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, during which the two leaders affirmed the commitment of their two kingdoms to support the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The foundations of security and stability that promote regional development, peace and prosperity.

Then the Council of Ministers congratulated His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his appointment as Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The Cabinet also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, in his capacity as Vice President of the State, along with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister. Minister and Ruler of Dubai, appointing His Highness Sheikh Hazaa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi. In this regard, the UAE Cabinet wished the UAE more progress and prosperity after the appointments.

In light of the International Day of Conscience, the Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to promoting peace and compassion around the world. The International Day of Conscience is held on April 5 of each year, and was adopted by the United Nations in response to the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

On World Health Day, the Council of Ministers praised the health workers in the Kingdom for providing high-quality healthcare services to Bahraini citizens, which is appreciated by all.

During the meeting, the Cabinet discussed several memorandums approving the following:

1. A memorandum submitted by the Government Executive Committee regarding the launch of the golden license for strategic projects. This memorandum aims to provide incentives and simplified services to foreign and local companies with large-scale investment projects that create more than 500 job opportunities that benefit Bahraini citizens, or those whose investments exceed $50 million.

2. A note by the Government Executive Committee on Government Priorities Framework 4.0.

3. A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding five memorandums of understanding between the University of Bahrain and regional and international organizations for academic and educational cooperation.

4. A memorandum from the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture regarding owning real estate for public use to provide spaces for urban development.

5. A memorandum submitted by the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Quality Authority regarding the general framework for reviewing the performance of higher education institutions.

6. A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding the government’s response to four proposals submitted by the House of Representatives.

Then the Cabinet reviewed the memorandum of the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments regarding the statistics of the Ministry’s work in various fields of specialization in the year 2022.

Then the Council reviewed the ministerial reports submitted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding the results of the participation of foreign ministers and the visits of foreign delegations to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
