HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister chairs the weekly Cabinet Meeting

Manama, October 24 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister chaired today the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers at Al-Qudaibiya Palace.

The Cabinet highlighted the growing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, which are based on the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. Happy.

In this regard, the Cabinet welcomed the official visit of His Majesty the Sultan of Oman, at the invitation of His Majesty the King, to the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the importance of the visit in strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination in various fields.

The Council also praised the depth of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. In this regard, the Cabinet reviewed the outcomes of the tenth session of the Joint Higher Committee between the two countries, which was held recently in the Kingdom of Bahrain to develop bilateral cooperation and joint coordination in various fields.

His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister directed the implementation of projects that would improve traffic flow in Bahrain, and in this regard, the Ministry of Works was appointed to take the necessary measures. The Cabinet also approved a memorandum submitted by the Minister of Works regarding a number of road development projects.

On the occasion of United Nations Day, the Council of Ministers congratulated the United Nations and stressed the importance of its principles and values.

During the meeting, the Council of Ministers discussed several memoranda with the following results:

1. The memorandum of the Minister of Interior regarding the launch and development of many government services within the plan to re-engineer procedures aimed at improving the efficiency of government services.

The Cabinet also reviewed a memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs and Fiscal Balance regarding the performance of economic indicators for the third quarter of 2022, which showed a positive trajectory for economic indicators and reflects the efforts made in implementing priority economic development programs. Such as the economic recovery plan and the fiscal balance programme.

The Council also reviewed the memorandum of the Minister of Cabinet Affairs regarding the follow-up of the performance of government agencies in the “Sijilat”, “Tawasul” and “Benayat” systems for the period from July to October 2022, which is still in place. The memo showed advanced performance levels in the “Tawasul” system, as 52 government agencies received more than 58 thousand requests, inquiries and complaints during the period from July to October 2022.
