Manama, June 22 (BNA) The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi stressed the importance of redoubling efforts during the next phase to implement projects in the field of urban planning. She emphasized keenness to promote comprehensive and sustainable development and achieve the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She drew attention to the implementation of government directives led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, regarding the development of vital sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This came during a meeting with the CEO of the Urban Planning and Development Authority, which was held in the presence of a number of officials in the Ministry and the Authority.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning referred to the efforts of the Higher Committee for Urban Planning headed by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in promoting urban planning in the Kingdom of Bahrain and ensuring sustainable urban development. She drew attention to the keenness to achieve the objectives of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, in which urban growth is one of the distinguishing features of national development programmes.
