Housing Minister commends royal support to housing field

Manama, June 17 (BNA) The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amina bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, affirmed the exceptional care and support for the social housing sector by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She stressed that the issue of housing comes at the top of the government’s priorities under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


She added that the royal directives to provide 40,000 housing units will remain a milestone in the housing march that began in the 1960s. Her statements came during a field tour of Slovak Deputy Prime Minister Stefan Holly and the accompanying delegation to the town of Salman. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Projects, Eng. Reda Mohamed listing and senior officials.


The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning welcomed the head and members of the delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in Bahrain. It highlighted the Kingdom’s history of building cities and providing housing services to citizens. She pointed out that Salman City represents the contemporary model for the government’s vision to build new urban communities and provide the necessary facilities and services.


Al-Rumaihi affirmed the ministry’s readiness to exchange experiences with the Slovak Republic in the field of housing in light of the friendly relations between the two countries.
