Honda said in a statement that the two local production sites will return to normal capacity in the first half of December.

Earlier this month, the maker of the Fit and CR-V models lowered its full-year profit forecast for the second time, due to production delays and higher material costs.

Toyota Motor Corp., the largest Japanese automaker, said last week that it would begin to make up for lost production in December, with factories at home returning to normal for the first time in seven months.
