Manama, June 3 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Journalists Association, Issa Al-Shayji, extended his sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for congratulating him and the members of the Bahrain Journalists Syndicate Board of Directors. Their election to the 2023-2025 BJA session.
He also praised His Majesty the King’s constant interest in the press, journalists, intellectuals and media professionals, which led to an unprecedented press and media renaissance, during the prosperous reign of King Hamad.
“I have the honor to extend my sincere thanks to His Majesty the King, on behalf of the Bahraini press and media community, for His Majesty’s distinguished stances in enabling the press and media to play their role to the fullest in the blessed renaissance march led by His Majesty,” said the BJA President.
He praised King Hamad’s constant keenness to deliver a message during World Press Freedom Day, in which His Majesty the King extends his thanks and appreciation to Bahraini journalists, expressing the pride of the press and media community in Bahrain for this generous royal gesture.
Al-Shayji affirmed that the Bahraini press community puts royal directives in focusing on credibility and obtaining correct information from official sources to avoid false and misleading news at the top of its priorities.
He renewed the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate’s keenness to implement the royal directives with regard to developing journalistic and media work, laying the foundations for free, fair and objective discourse, instilling concepts of loyalty and belonging to the homeland, and protecting the right to knowledge.
He pledged to His Majesty the King that the BJA in particular, and the press and media community in general, would play their full role in the comprehensive development process, by protecting the nation’s achievements and gains.
