Manama, Nov. 29 (BNA): Media Affairs Adviser at the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince, Issa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi, stressed the importance of the role played by the Bahraini press in the national media system in supporting the comprehensive development process. Led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Al-Hammadi affirmed that His Majesty the King’s support for the Bahraini press enabled it to play a greater role in carrying out its noble mission to the fullest.
In this regard, he affirmed the interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Permanent Prime Minister, to strengthen the role of the press and media as part of the Bahrain team that continues its endeavors to build the nation and achieve the best for citizens.
The Media Affairs Adviser at the Crown Prince’s Diwan made these statements while receiving here today the President of the Bahrain Journalists Association, the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ayyam newspaper, Isa Al-Shayji, and the Vice-President of the Bahrain Journalists Syndicate, Abdulrahman Al-Shayji. Al Midfa, and BJA Secretary General and Director of International Relations, Rashid Al Hamar.
During the meeting, Al-Hammadi praised the interest of the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate and its interest in strengthening the role of the national press and its free and responsible speech to achieve national goals.
Al-Shayji praised the continuous support provided by His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the Bahraini press, which contributed to strengthening its role in supporting various paths of development and modernization.
The President of the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate thanked the Media Affairs Adviser at the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince for his continuous cooperation, stressing the keenness of the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate to continue its efforts to develop the press in the Kingdom.
