HM King’s advisor lays foundation stone of Bahrain Institute for Oriental Music

Rabat, November 10 (BNA) The King’s Media Adviser, Nabil bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, and Mohammed bin Issa, Secretary-General of the Assilah Forum, the former Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, laid the foundation stone for the Bahraini-Moroccan pioneer. The “Bahrain Institute for Oriental Music” project.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Rabat, Khaled Al-Muslim.

The project aims to rehabilitate young musicians from the city of Asilah, Tangiers, Tetouan and Al Hoceima.

The institute specializes in teaching the grammar of music in general and oriental music in particular, including the origins and development of Arabic and Moroccan music.

Students will also receive lessons in various grammar, musical instruments, and other musical and sound effects.

This project comes in appreciation of the distinguished brotherly ties between the two kingdoms, which are witnessing continuous patronage by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
