HM King receives GCC Secretary General

Manama, November 29 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the current session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, received at Al Sufirah Palace today the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, on the occasion of his assumption of his position. A visit to the Kingdom.

Dr. Al-Hajraf presented to His Majesty the King a report on the progress of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and its efforts to advance joint Gulf action.

His Majesty the King received the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and reviewed with him the Gulf issues.

He praised the continuous efforts made by the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and all entities affiliated with the General Secretariat to enhance cooperation and integration among member states.

He also praised the pioneering achievements of the Gulf Cooperation Council since its establishment and its effective contribution to promoting security, stability and peace at the regional and international levels.

He stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to advance the organization and consolidate cooperation among the GCC countries to achieve the desired goals.

The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for the welcome and generous directions for the Gulf procession.

He praised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s presidency of the current Gulf session, praising the achievements made in serving the interests of the GCC states.
