HM King receives Egyptian ambassador, receives invitation to attend summit on climate change

Manama, July 6 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a letter from the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, inviting His Majesty the King to attend the 27th session of the Summit. Parties (COP 27) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) which Egypt will host in Sharm El Sheikh in November.


The message was delivered by the Egyptian ambassador to Bahrain, Yasser Mohammed Ahmed Shaaban, during His Majesty the King’s reception to him at the Sofia Palace today.


His Majesty the King expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian President for the invitation, praising the distinguished and deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples. He also praised the advanced level of bilateral cooperation at all levels.


His Majesty the King praised Egypt’s pivotal role at the regional and international levels and its contributions to serving humanity. He wished the Arab Republic of Egypt success in hosting the summit and reaching positive results to support international efforts to address climate change.
