Manama, May 24 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the pivotal role of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry in revitalizing the commercial and industrial sector, describing it as an active partner in the Kingdom’s development process.
This came during a speech by His Majesty the King when he received today at Sofira Palace the new Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by Samir Abdullah Nass. He congratulated them on their election and on gaining the confidence of the industrial and commercial sector for them, wishing them success.
His Majesty the King pointed to Bahrain’s success in achieving economic recovery thanks to concerted efforts, praising the role of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry in this regard. He also praised the government’s achievements in preparing and implementing economic recovery plans, stressing the role of the legislative authority in this regard, and everyone’s keenness to achieve comprehensive economic growth.
His Majesty pointed out the importance of adhering to religious teachings and customs in the Gulf society to achieve economic stability and growth. He praised the efforts of Bahraini merchants and businessmen in supporting investment opportunities and launching several projects that contributed to enhancing the Kingdom’s position at the regional and international levels. He also praised the glorious history of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its contributions to the national work.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on behalf of the members of the Board of Directors and the business community, expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for his valuable directives to achieve sustainable economic growth and enhance the role of the private sector in this regard. He stressed the Chamber’s keenness to achieve the aspirations of His Majesty the King and enhance the role of the private sector in economic development in line with the Kingdom’s economic vision 2030.
