HM King participates in leaders meeting in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Jan. 18 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa participated in the brotherly consultative meeting hosted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Also participating in the meeting were Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Emir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

The “Prosperity and Stability in the Region” meeting sought to deepen cooperation between their countries in all fields that serve progress, prosperity and stability in the region through more joint action, cooperation and regional integration.

The leaders discussed fraternal relations, cooperation and coordination between their countries in all fields that fulfill the aspirations of their peoples for a future in which the region will enjoy further development, progress and prosperity.

They also reviewed regional and international issues and developments of common interest, as well as the political, security and economic challenges facing the region.

The meeting discussed the importance of coordinating positions and strengthening joint Arab action to face challenges in a way that ensures building a more stable and prosperous future for all the peoples of the region.

The leaders affirmed the deep-rooted relations between their countries in various fields and their mutual keenness on communication, consultation and continuous coordination towards the various transformations in the region and the world.

They stressed that cooperation and building economic and development partnerships between their countries and at the Arab level in general is the gateway to achieving development and creating a better future for peoples in a turbulent world that is witnessing transformations in various fields.

They also affirmed their common vision to promote stability and prosperity in the region and their firm belief in the importance of communication for construction, development and prosperity.

They stressed the importance of adhering to the rules of good neighborliness and respecting the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of the countries of the region.
