Manama, September 8 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Royal Order No. (26) of 2022 setting the date of elections and nominations for membership of the House of Representatives, as follows:
Article 1:
Voters registered in the voters’ lists, in implementation of the provisions of Decree-Law No. (14) of 2002 regarding the exercise of political rights, are invited to come to the polling and counting committee headquarters to elect members of the House of Representatives on Saturday 12/11/2022 from 8:00 am to 8:00 Evening, and in cases requiring re-election, re-election will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. evening.
Elections will be held in Bahraini embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions abroad on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, and in cases that require re-election, the re-election will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
Article 2:
The door for candidacy for membership of the House of Representatives opens from tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5, 2022, until Sunday, October 9, 2022, and applications for candidacy in the various electoral districts are submitted to the relevant committees.
Article 3:
This order shall be effective from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
