HM King issues royal order, re-appointing SCW Secretary-General

Manama, Nov. 24 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Order No. (39) of 2022 re-appointing Hala Muhammad Al-Ansari as Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women. For a period of three years at the rank of minister, as stipulated in the royal order regarding the formation of the council and its amendments.

Based on Royal Order No. (36) of 2004 amending some provisions of Article (7) of Emiri Order (55) of 2001, the Supreme Council for Women has a General Secretariat headed by a Secretary General with the rank of Minister.

The General Secretariat cooperates with the Council in performing its duties. He is responsible for submitting proposals related to the implementation of the Council’s terms of reference, achieving its objectives, setting up relevant plans and programs, and notifying the concerned authorities of the Council’s decisions and recommendations.
