HM King issues Decree 99/2021, abolishing NOGA

Manama, September 27 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree No. 99/2021 abolishing the National Oil and Gas Authority.

According to the decree, the Ministry of Oil undertakes all the tasks carried out by the National Oil and Gas Authority as stipulated in the laws, regulations, decisions and regulations in force in the Kingdom.

All financial appropriations allocated to the Authority in the state budget and all its rights and obligations are referred to the Ministry of Oil.

All employees of the National Oil and Gas Authority will also be transferred to the Ministry of Oil with the same rights and benefits, according to the organizational structure of the ministry.

Any text contrary to the provisions of this decree shall be repealed.

The Prime Minister and the Ministers – each within his jurisdiction – shall implement the provisions of this Decree, and it shall come into force immediately, and be published in the Official Gazette.
