Manama, Feb. 19 (BNA) An international race for the King’s Cup for Endurance Riding kicked off today.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa attended the 160 km race organized by the Royal Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREF).

A 120 km race for private local stables was also held at Bahrain International Village.

Upon his arrival, His Majesty the King was received by the representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Action and Youth Affairs, Honorary President of Brave, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Rashid, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Equestrian and Horse Racing, His Highness Sheikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brave. . Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, who praised the king for his long-standing sport and support for the riders.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad briefed His Majesty the King on the stages of the race, the number of participants and Brave’s preparations for the competition.

His Majesty the King, the Knight, congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the winner of the King’s Endurance Cup.

His Majesty the King also congratulated the KHK team rider Hamad Janahi and the Victorious Team rider Abdul Rahman Al-Zayed, who took second and third places respectively.

His Majesty the King praised the fruitful efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to promote endurance racing and preserve sports as part of Bahrain’s authentic heritage.

Brave, the chairman and members of the board of directors, praised the riders for their achievements that strengthened Bahrain’s position in international competitions and races, and put the kingdom in the MSRP for endurance sports. He also praised the participation of the Knights of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which reflects the brotherly Gulf relations.

His Majesty the King renewed his support for endurance sport to honor Bahrain in regional and international championships, and thanked all companies, institutions and banks that sponsored the event.
