HM King establishes Military Institution for the Development of Warfare Industries at BDF

Manama, July 3 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Order No. 23 of 2022 establishing the Military Institution for the Development of War Industries in the Bahrain Defense Force.

According to the royal order, the Military Corporation for the Development of War Industries aims to establish and regulate activities related to the military industries of the Bahrain Defense Force, including the design, development and modification of defense and security systems using modern technology.

It may establish factories for weapons, ammunition and military equipment, manufacture and trade them using modern technologies, as well as license any related economic activities within the Kingdom.

It may also develop the military industries sector through its own projects, whether under its direct management and supervision, or in partnership with various companies inside or outside Bahrain, to serve its objectives and roles.

The royal order also stipulated that the military institution for the development of war industries would have its own budget, within the budget of the Bahrain Defense Force.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force issues the necessary regulations and decrees to organize the work of the military institution to develop war industries, achieve its founding objectives of its tasks and duties, and appoint military and civilian personnel. personnel, in addition to the administrative and financial systems of the enterprise.

The Deputy Supreme Commander and Commander-in-Chief shall implement the Royal Order, which shall come into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
