HM King deputises Royal Court Affairs Minister to attend King’s horseracing cup races

Manama, Mar. 10 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today invited the Minister of Royal Court Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, to attend the King’s Cup Festival for horse racing, which is organized by the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. (REHC) at the Racetrack in Al Raffa, Sakhir.


Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Community Rehabilitation Center, His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Vice President and Vice President of the Supreme Council for the Environment. The races were attended by the Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, His Highness Sheikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa.


It was also attended by Their Highnesses and Excellencies, ministers, senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom, and a large audience of horse racing enthusiasts.


His Highness Sheikh Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa crowned the winners of His Majesty the King’s Cup. His Majesty the King’s Cup for Arabian Horses was presented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Nasser Al Khalifa.


He also presented the Shield of His Majesty the King’s Cup for imported horses to the grandchildren of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

His Highness Sheikh Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa presented His Majesty’s Cup, the King’s Cup for local horses, to the winning trainer, Fawzi Nass, and the Methaq Cup, to His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Maha Mafiz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Zad” Company, CEO of “Tamkeen” Company, crowned the knight Gerald Moss as the winner of the Mezyad Cup.


Meanwhile, the Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs, Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, presented the Al Rafaa Cup to His Highness Shaikh Sultanuddin bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa.


The Executive Director of Operations, Youssef Buhejji, crowned Coach Haider Ibrahim, the winner of the REHC Board of Directors Cup.


Tattersalls Marketing Director presented the Tattersalls Sprint Cup to the winning coach, Alan Smith.
