Manama, Jan. 1 (BNA): The Minister of Finance and National Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on receiving the Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Medal of the first degree from the Arab Red Crescent. Cross Organization (ARCO) in recognition of his great humanitarian efforts.
The minister said that the medal awarded to His Majesty the King reflects his humanitarian role in the local and international arenas and his keenness to consolidate noble values and principles of peace and tolerance.
He praised the royal directives of His Majesty the King to provide all relief assistance to countries facing crises and other humanitarian emergencies.
He valued the efforts of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve the aspirations of His Majesty the King.
He praised the role of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.
