HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Awards the 2022 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Podium Finishers

Manama, March 20 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, received the Bahrain Grand Prix for Formula 1 Gulf Air, the champ Charles. Leclerc of Scuderia Ferrari, runner-up, Carlos Sainz Jr. of Scuderia Ferrari, and in third place Sir Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes-AMG Petronas.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad presented the awards to the drivers at an official ceremony marking the end of the 18th edition of the Bahrain Grand Prix, the first race in the 2022 Formula 1 calendar.

Commenting on this year’s race, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad said that it represented a special moment for Bahrain to welcome many international spectators to Formula 1.

His Highness pointed out that the Bahrain team’s efforts have promoted the growth of motor sport in the Kingdom, which is one of the many achievements that are part of the comprehensive development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, a series of investments and initiatives led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed that the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad has made the Kingdom a global destination for sporting events.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad highlighted the successful management of the Kingdom and the organization of international motor racing. In this regard, His Highness thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of such a successful race.
