Manama, Jan. 3 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has become a role model in empowering youth at the global level and paving the way. A way for them to participate in making critical decisions of great importance to the world in the areas of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and rely on them to build the future.
His Highness explained that this is in line with the efforts led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to draw the attention of the international community to young people in order to realize the importance of their initiatives in the midst of the challenges the world is currently facing. Launching the fourth edition of the “King Hamad Prize for Youth Empowerment to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals”.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Zayed, in a statement on the occasion of this occasion, described the award as a message of appreciation and pride from the Kingdom of Bahrain to youth around the world, especially those who have impressive achievements, creativity and innovative solutions in achieving sustainable development goals.
This is evidenced by the launch of the new edition of the “King Hamad Award for Empowering Youth to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals”, which is one of Bahrain’s most important initiatives towards the world’s youth, which aims to motivate young people to think “outside the box” and come up with ideas. On how best to achieve the goals of the United Nations in a youthful way.
His Highness the Sheikh indicated that the prestigious award has always attracted new ideas that keep pace with global changes, noting that the fourth edition will encourage young people to present ideas and projects to achieve sustainable development goals in the post-pandemic world with a youthful vision.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser stressed that the strong partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations Development Program has strengthened the award at the international level, and contributed to attracting a large number of participants from different countries, noting that the partnership between the Kingdom and many United Nations agencies has been expanded in order to ensure broader participation. Youth and achieve the noble goals of the award.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser expressed his confidence that this year’s edition will be more successful than the previous editions, expressing his hope that the international community, public and private bodies and youth sectors will urge the world’s youth to participate in the award, as it is an ideal platform for them to participate in the award.
