Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): His Highness Sheikh Nasser Center for Research and Development of Artificial Intelligence held its second meeting, in the presence of members of the Council representing the public and private sectors.
Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Nuaimi, CEO, thanked the companies for their contribution to presenting the center’s vision, which aims to establish the Kingdom as a leading model in research, development and innovation in the region.
The artificial intelligence consultant, Dr. Jassim Haj, reviewed the most prominent achievements of the center in 2022.
The achievements represent completed artificial intelligence projects with more than 32 institutions and nine regional entities, providing various innovative solutions, including machine prediction, machine learning, computer vision, conversations, robotics and process automation.
The meeting discussed future development projects and initiatives through which the center will spread the culture of innovation and investment in research and development.
The meeting also reviewed the establishment of an artificial intelligence academy, setting governance policies and ethics for artificial intelligence, and developing the skills of graduates in Bahrain with regional and international academies and technology companies.
