HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman opens the 49th edition of the Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition

Manama, May 10 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, inaugurated the 49th Annual Fine Arts Course in Bahrain. Exhibition at the Bahrain National Museum.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman affirmed his pride in Bahrain’s artists and works of art, pointing to the continued support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in the plastic arts sector in the Kingdom.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman praised the exhibition’s role in enriching artistic creativity and serving as a prominent platform for presenting contemporary art produced by Bahraini artists.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman wished the exhibition and its organizers continued success.

Then, His Highness toured the exhibition and looked at the galleries that contain different art schools that contain more than 100 works of art, including 55 Bahraini artists and residents. A section of the exhibition contains the works of the late Bahraini sculptor Khalil Al Hashemi.

For his part, the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his sponsorship of the forty-ninth session of the Bahrain Annual Session. A plastic arts exhibition confirming His Highness’ continuous support for cultural exhibitions and the promotion of the cultural sector in the Kingdom.

His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed also expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman for opening the exhibition on behalf of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed pointed out the importance of plastic arts in the cultural scene of the Kingdom, and that the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Arts will continue to provide a platform for artists to express their creativity.

The winners of the three annual awards during the exhibition were as follows: Dr. Mayassa Al-Suwaidi won the first place, Nada Al-Maghawi won the second place, and Salman Najm came in the third place.

The Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition is one of the largest and most prominent annual art exhibitions held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Over the years, it has attracted a wide range of artists from across the kingdom, including up-and-coming young talents.

A number of senior officials also attended the opening.
