Manama, Jan. 27 (BNA): First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, said that show jumping in the Kingdom has become one of the advanced sports.
He added that show jumping is witnessing wide participation in multiple competitions, as it has begun to acquire broader artistic dimensions among riders and horses.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid referred to the successes and results achieved by show jumping competitions locally and internationally, in line with the plans, programs and aspirations of the Royal Bahraini Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREF) to reach the highest levels.
Jumping competitions highlighted the competencies of many young sports talents and the presence of a wide base of practitioners of this sport.
He added that BREEF will rely on these capabilities to build a solid base of good riders to represent Bahrain in various tournaments and championships and to confirm the ability of Bahraini riders to jump forward with excellence.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid praised the great efforts made by the federation, headed by His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to develop equestrian sports in general and show jumping in particular in the Kingdom, citing its many successes.
His Highness also urged the riders and participants in His Highness’s championship, which is held on Saturday, to achieve their best levels in all competitions, wishing them success.
