HH Shaikh Khalid congratulates National Handball Team on reaching Asian Championship final

Manama, January 30 (BNA): His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Public Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. , congratulated the president, members and affiliates of the Bahrain Handball Federation (BHF) after the Bahrain national handball team qualified for the final match of the twentieth edition of the Asian Handball Championship, which is currently being held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This achievement came after the team won its match against the Saudi team, scoring 29-20. This match brought the two teams together, on Saturday, at the Ministry of Sports Hall in Dammam, and it was the semi-final of the tournament.

His Highness praised the distinguished technical levels shown by the national handball team throughout the matches, which granted it qualification for the 2023 World Cup finals for the sixth time in its history.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid explained that the team’s ability to reach this stage of the competition reflects the strong preparations made by the team members who have a highly competitive spirit and determination to achieve successive victories that put Bahrain in the finals of this Asian championship.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid praised the efforts made by Representative Ali Issa Eshqi, President of the Bahrain Charity Foundation, to create the ideal atmosphere for the team to prepare optimally for this participation and reach the finals of this event.

His Highness valued the public attendance that supported the team in this participation and raised the morale of the team members to achieve positive results.
