Manama, May 26 (BNA): First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Yesterday, he received in his office at El Wadi Palace the President of the International Association of Athletics Federations Sebastian Newbold Coe, who is currently on a visit to the Kingdom.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority, Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, and Muhammad Abdul Latif bin Jalal, President of the Bahrain Athletics Federation.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the President of the International Association of Athletics Federations and conveyed to him the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also reviewed with him the development of athletics in Bahrain and the achievements of Bahraini athletes in various tournaments.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation to develop athletics. His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa wished the IAAF success in achieving its goals.
