HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad attends Universities League’s final game

Manama, March 4 (BNA) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority and President of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Olympic Committee (BOC) has concluded the 2021/2022 Universities Football League.

Gulf University won a thrilling 4-2 victory over Ahlia University in the final match attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which was held at the Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa Stadium.

The final match was attended by a large number of officials, including His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority, His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the British Olympic Committee, and Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the Public Services Authority. His Excellency Mr. Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of BOC and His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Schools and Universities Association.

On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President and members of the Gulf University Board of Directors, congratulated on their victory, praising the performance of their team throughout the competition period.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid also praised the efforts made by the Bahraini Schools and Universities Association headed by Dr. Sheikh Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa to organize the event, indicating that the tremendous success that has been achieved embodies the prominent role of the Union in implementing the supporting programs. It aims to promote school and university sports.

Sheikh Saqr expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalid for sponsoring the final match, noting that His Highness’s patronage represented a great motivation for the players to give their all.
