Manama, November 14 (BNA) The University of Bahrain signed today a memorandum of cooperation with the Public Authority for Sports. The signing ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the President of the General Sports Authority, and the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The cooperation agreement was signed by the President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, and the CEO of the General Authority for Societies, Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar. Under the agreement, the university will support Khalid bin Hamad’s initiative to obtain the Gold Generation seat.
In a statement on this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad stressed the keenness to create an enabling environment for distinguished players to succeed in their education and continue their sports career. “The agreement will allow outstanding athletes to join the university in order to enhance their talents and skills in the scientific aspects,” His Highness Sheikh Khalid said.
The ceremony was also attended by the Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, the Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Saleh Al-Ansari, and other officials.
