HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman chairs the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Charity Educational Endowment

Manama, May 25 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Endowment, chaired today the meeting of the Board of Trustees at Riffa Palace.

His Highness Sheikh Isa highlighted the importance of creating good educational opportunities for Bahrainis, to support citizens in achieving their potential and to play a major role in the development of the Kingdom.

His Highness pointed out that Bahraini citizens are the most valuable resource in the Kingdom, and stressed the importance of continuing to invest in their education in support of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development goals, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted the continued support of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the education sector in the Kingdom, which has witnessed great development in recent years.

His Highness Sheikh Issa expressed his appreciation for the royal order issued by His Majesty the King to reconstitute the Board of Trustees, and His Highness congratulated the new Board members on their appointment, wishing them success in their duties.

His Highness explained that the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Endowment was established to provide the opportunity for Bahrainis to continue their academic journeys and achieve their aspirations through higher education.

During the proceedings, three central committees were formed:

1. An audit and governance committee, which is responsible for administrative, financial and governance audits.

2. The Education and Quality Committee, which reviews the educational strategy of the endowment, develops procedures for granting scholarships, and monitors career progress after graduation.

3. The Investment and Asset Management Committee, responsible for sustainable revenue and the promotion of partnerships and collaborations.

The Board also directed to conduct a strategic review, to identify future opportunities, establish forward-looking KPIs, and enhance the brand identity of the endowment.
