HH National Security Advisor bids farewell to Türkiye-bound search and rescue team

Manama, Feb. 10 (BNA): In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Bahrain Defense Force is participating in the humanitarian relief mission “Operation Relief Arms”. In the sister Republic of Turkey, it is represented by a search and rescue team from the Royal Guard.


The mission is under the supervision of Major General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser and Commander of the Royal Guard.


His Highness Sheikh Nasser was at the forefront of those who bid farewell to the search and rescue team upon their departure to Turkey today, in the presence of the Special Force of the Royal Guard, Colonel His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.


His Highness Sheikh Nasser affirmed His Majesty the King’s constant keenness to launch humanitarian initiatives to help the afflicted and needy and provide them relief in various parts of the world.


He also referred to the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, as well as the support of the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force, Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed. Al Khalifa.


His Highness Sheikh Nasser affirmed that the noble relief mission aims to extend a helping hand to those affected by the earthquake based on the humanitarian ties that bring together the various peoples of the world, indicating that the search and rescue team is fully prepared and ready to participate. In search and rescue efforts, as well as standing by those affected in order to mitigate the effects of devastating earthquakes that caused huge losses in lives and property.

The search and rescue team was seen off by the Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain, Esen Çakil, Deputy Commander of the Royal Guard, Major General Hamad Khalifa Al-Nuaimi, and the Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed. CEO of the National Committee for Supporting Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Syria and a number of senior officers of the Bahrain Defense Force.
