Manama, November 8 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and Vice-Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, formed the Equal Opportunities Committee in the Higher Committee.
She discussed with members of the committee topics, ways and mechanisms that would contribute to achieving gender balance in higher education institutions and integrating women’s needs in equal opportunities in the council.
The Secretary-General stressed that the formation of the committee confirms the Supreme Committee’s belief in the importance of enhancing the role of women in accordance with its cooperative approach with various concerned institutions, especially with the Supreme Council for Women and the Civil Service Bureau. .
Dr. Sheikha Rana praised the high qualifications and long experience of the members, which enable them to achieve the goals of the committee and implement ideas and initiatives that ensure progress and gender balance in higher education institutions.
