Health Undersecretary participates in World Health Summit

Berlin, October 19 (BNA) Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Walid Al-Manea, participated in the World Health Summit.

The summit was held from October 16-18, and is considered one of the most important international health gatherings concerned, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).

The summit focused on commitment to global public interests, health equity, strong multilateral health action, and the sharing of scientific development and innovation.

Dr. Al-Manea highlighted the summit’s coverage of global risks and threats such as climate change, epidemics, natural disasters, disaster response, and food and health systems.

He explained that the summit focused on the digital transformation of health, the new approach to investing in health and well-being, the challenges facing universal health coverage, ensuring a smarter monitoring system, global health for peace, and building strong and resilient health systems.

The Undersecretary affirmed the continuation of the Kingdom’s initiatives and efforts in the fields of health care, and its achievements at the international, regional and global levels.

He praised the efforts of the Bahraini health sector in providing the best health services to citizens and residents, and striving to develop medical services through cooperation with various international health authorities and providing the latest medical equipment and devices to keep pace with the latest scientific developments in the field. .
