Manama, March 28 (BNA) Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh chaired the first meeting of the National Anti-Smoking Committee for 2022.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Maryam Al-Hajri, and members of the committee.
Al-Saleh welcomed the attendance and wished the new members success in following up and implementing the committee’s plans and strategies.
The committee stressed the importance of intensifying awareness campaigns through holding seminars and events and preparing a joint media plan in cooperation with the relevant authorities to contribute to achieving the desired goals in the field of combating smoking, tobacco and their products.
The committee also reviewed the proposals and observations aimed at achieving the committee’s endeavors in the field of combating smoking in cooperation with the relevant authorities and strengthening community partnership.
