A leading global manufacturing company based in Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a Head of Treasury.

Role

The Chief Treasury is responsible for managing the development and implementation of the company’s financial policy, providing flexibility to manage liquidity, maximizing EBITDA to free up cash flow, driving M&A activities and investments, managing financial risk and treasury operations. The Head of Treasury is also responsible for developing relationships with external financial intermediaries such as banks, rating agencies, and funds. In addition, this role is responsible for providing oversight and managing coordination with the project finance team especially regarding joint activities related to capturing financial deal structuring and managing financial stakeholders.

The Chief Treasury is also responsible for monitoring employee performance and providing ongoing feedback and support to enhance management improvement efforts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain treasury policies and procedures to oversee the organization’s treasury operations
* Debt management by monitoring debt levels and rates, conducting financial covenant testing, and managing financial intermediaries
* Managing and expanding the banking relationship and conducting a periodic review of banking needs
* Regularly review bank accounts and authorized signatories for better controls
* Implement and maintain a robust treasury management system and payment solution to automate treasury operations
* Regularly review and update the bank authorization for counterparties; Coordinating with the General Counsel to update the Bank’s mandate, extracts from relevant Banking Board minutes, the Company’s KYC and authorized officials including members of the Board of Directors
* Conduct regular liquidity assessments and suggest appropriate revisions to the liquidity policy in line with changing business needs
* Monitor cash and liquidity including daily cash position, transaction banking services, short-term financing or investment requirements
* Conduct a regular review of total business needs and work closely with business teams to improve overall working capital needs
* Support in improving the ratio of EBITDA to cash flow conversion ratio and initiating necessary workflows to avoid any blockage in working capital, reviewing capital expenditure plans and reducing financing costs
* Develop financing policy and negotiate its implementation with external stakeholders including banking/financier partners
Coordinate with the project finance team to support the preparation and delivery of joint activities and processes (eg stakeholder engagement)
* Management of investors and rating agencies including monitoring and forecasting rating agency and debt investor metrics
* Balance sheet monitoring through financial pledges/stress testing and review of reports for external and internal stakeholders
*Review the capital framework cost and input into an annual/ad hoc review of system planning and project evaluation
* Develop financial risk management policies, including the management of market risks such as interest rate risk, currency risk, commodity risk, and counterparty credit risk management in consultation with the ERM function
* Support insurance policy development in line with guidelines and input from the ERM function and ensure compliance
* Optimizing insurance premium costs and managing counterparty risks by referring to insurance companies
* Contribute to the development and implementation of management strategy, policies and procedures in line with functional objectives and taking into account the changing needs of the business
Manage direct reporting activities to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner, in line with department plans, policies and procedures
* Provide input into the preparation and standardization of the job budget and advise executive management on risks and opportunities

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science or a related field
*Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science or a related field is preferred
* Professional qualification in Finance or Accounting (eg CA, ACCA, CFA, FRM, ACT) is required.
*Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in treasury and cash management or related role of which 2-4 years in a management position, preferably in:
* Diverse/multicultural business industry (acquired from a medium to large enterprise)
* multinational company

Salary and benefits

63,000 dirhams per month in addition to family benefits
