Haaland nets 20th goal of season as City beats Southampton

London, October 8 (BNA) Erling Haaland scored his 20th goal in just 13 games this season to lead Manchester City to a 4-0 win over Southampton to lead the Premier League on Saturday.

Haaland extended his goal streak to 10 consecutive games in all competitions by scoring the fourth goal in the 65th minute for City, according to the Associated Press.

Joao Cancelo, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez had already scored while the Norwegian, who had earlier hit the net and rejected a few other chances, finally scored in the second half to score his 15th league goal.

City are two points ahead of Arsenal, who can regain the top spot by beating Liverpool on Sunday.

Southampton have lost four games in a row and coach Ralph Hessenhuttl is facing mounting pressure after another disappointing performance.
