Gulf Air, Boeing hold talks at 77th IATA annual general meeting in Boston

Boston, October 7 (BNA) Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, met with senior officials of Boeing during the 77th annual general meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Boston. The event is organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on an annual basis and sees member airlines from all over the world attend and communicate under one roof.

The meeting was held between the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Air, Zayed Rashid Al-Zayani, and the President and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Stanley A. Dell.

The parties discussed the challenges that the industry has overcome during COVID-19 and the possibilities of new opportunities between them.

“The national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain proudly refers to the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner as its flagship aircraft.” Al-Zayani said after the meeting.

“The new fleet strategy that Gulf Air is currently implementing has proven very successful for our network and passenger experience with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner serving our most important routes as well as being a major contributor to our cargo operations.”
