Government Hospitals discuss SMC development plans

Manama, Nov. 21 (BNA): Plans to develop health care services and enhance human resources in government hospitals have been highlighted.


The Board of Trustees of government hospitals discussed development plans, including private clinics at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, genetic diseases, and the sports clinic at the Ibrahim Khalil Center.


The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, presided over the meeting, in the presence of the CEO of government hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ansari.


Sheikh Hisham praised the royal patronage provided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to continue developing the health sector and upgrading the level of services.


The committee also reviewed the accreditation of the Salmaniya Medical Complex by the National Health Regulatory Authority and the Australian Council for International Healthcare Standards (ACHSI), which contributes to raising the quality and efficiency of health services.
