Manama, April 2 (BNA): In line with the directives of the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Generation of Gold. The table tennis league has started.
The league falls within the “Khalid bin Hamad League for the Golden Generation” and aims to build a sports generation whose members have the ability to compete at the highest levels.
The launch of the tournament was attended by the CEO of the Public Sports Authority, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahraini Table Tennis Federation, Sheikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, members of the Board of Directors and heads of local clubs.
During the opening ceremony, the Secretary-General of the Bahrain Table Tennis Federation, Abbas Al-Mahfouz, delivered a statement praising His Highness Sheikh Khalid’s unlimited support for Bahraini sports.
He pointed out that the Khalid bin Hamad League for the Golden Generation embodies the insightful vision of His Highness by supporting age groups, the basis of the future.
