Germany allows unrestricted entry for visa-holding Bahrainis

Manama, October 9 (BNA) The German ambassador to Bahrain said that Germany will allow travelers from Bahrain who hold a valid visa to enter Germany for all normally permitted purposes, including tourism, regardless of their vaccination status.

Ambassador Kay Buckman said the decision, which will come into effect on October 10, was taken in light of the low number of infections in Bahrain.

The Federal Ministry of the Interior has published on its website that, on the recommendation of the Council of the European Union, Germany has implemented and updated its entry restrictions and that it allows unrestricted entry to Bahrain residents.

The Council of the European Union on Friday, in updating its list of epidemiologically safe third countries, urged its member states to lift entry restrictions for travelers from Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, saying that “in recent weeks, both countries have celebrated by declaring a decrease in the number of registered coronavirus cases.” in its lands.
