Manama, Nov. 15 (BNA): The Public Sports Authority signed today a memorandum of cooperation with the American University of Bahrain.
The signing ceremony was attended by the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the President of the Public Authority for Sports, and the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He signed the cooperation agreement with the President of the American University of Beirut, Bradley J. Cook, and the CEO of the General Secretariat, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, and the Vice President of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Sheikha Rana Bint Issa. Under the agreement, the American University of Bahrain will support Khalid bin Hamad’s initiative to obtain the seat of the golden generation.
In a statement on this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad praised the support of the American University of Beirut and its participation in the initiative, praising the role of private higher education institutions.
He said that the initiative aims to create an enabling environment for distinguished players to succeed in their education and continue their sports career.
