• Directs all aspects of business operations, including purchasing, scheduling, manufacturing, warehousing, shipping/receiving, quality assurance, engineering, and customer service.
• Control of all operational aspects including; Revenue growth, profit, operations, engineering, manufacturing, quality, plant production development, health and safety, finance and compliance within established parameters.
• Prepare annual manufacturing plan and policy guidelines to drive performance of key results areas on production activities and monitor ongoing implementation.
• Optimally ensure that manufacturing units optimize standard efficiencies in terms of machine efficiency, material productivity, labor and overhead costs against budget.
• Implement a Factory Performance Tracking System that includes KPIs covering manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, workforce levels and finance.
• Oversee the cost effective management of all outsourcing services in line with budgeted cost levels.
• Develop and nurture a dynamic and competent workforce through a strong performance-driven culture.
• Works to ensure that the entity’s financial goals, including monthly profitability and EBITDA goals, are met.
• Works with the Plant Manager to ensure that the facility’s operational activities and tactical procedures are implemented so that the plant’s working capital is properly managed.
• Provide timely information to various company employees, including daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements and other ad hoc information requests.
• Frequently looks for cost-saving opportunities, and leads and monitors all progress in capturing savings opportunities.
• Oversees the management of all employees, while being a safety advocate in the facility.
• Enforces all company policies, including safety, production, quality, human resources, customer service, and accounting policies.
• Monitors equipment needs in the facility and ensures that the technical team is working to properly maintain the company’s equipment and physical facilities.
• Understand the technical aspects of the facility’s manufacturing operations to provide support to departmental staff.
• Continuously assesses the operational efficiencies of the facility and looks for opportunities to improve operations in an economical manner.
• Implements, directs, and maintains key initiatives that support the plant’s strategic objectives.
• Leads standardization practices throughout the organization that are consistent with other global sites.
• Ensures that quality standards are understood and meet acceptable limits in the areas of engineering, manufacturing and business services.
• Ensuring that policies and documents are up-to-date, and that the facility is compatible with customer audit requirements.
• Train and develop employees to build high performance teams. Assigns extended assignments to further training and enhance employee development.
• Promotes cross training for workforce improvement, ensures job coverage, reduces labor costs, and supports succession planning.
• Manage and maintain employment and operating costs in accordance with budgets and strategic objectives.
• Oversees the recruitment and training of facility staff. Works with Human Resources to find ways to motivate and develop employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be a citizen of a Middle Eastern country with excellent Arabic language abilities, have spent at least 10 years working in Saudi Arabia and have spent a few years either studying or living in the United States.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably from an American university, in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering. An MBA in Business Administration would be desirable but not necessary.
• 20 years of experience in the progressive manufacturing of oil and gas equipment. Currently preferably in the same role (GM) or Operations Manager in a manufacturing company or with at least 15 years of increased management responsibility in an engineering and manufacturing environment
• Strong operational experience with the ability to create and measure KPIs.
• Proven abilities in analysis, evaluation and problem solving, with keen attention to detail.
• Proven financial acumen.
• Experience in managing continuous improvement projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.
• Possess practical knowledge of JIT lean manufacturing techniques.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Proven track record of team building ability.
