The Senior Engineering Trainer and Curriculum Lead is responsible for providing inspiring leadership to the team of trainers they report to.
The Senior General Engineering Trainer is also responsible for having the curriculum within their area of specialization and ensuring a consistent approach to developing and delivering the curriculum across all subordinate instructors through coaching and post-audit.
• Take ownership of the curriculum from start to finish for their area of responsibility.
• Developing the training solution, blending the external and internal materials developed into a coherent package.
• Develop, support and motivate a core team of technical trainers, working closely with other specialized cadres in the effective use of the educational workforce, to ensure appropriate training is to be undertaken and career development opportunities are provided.
• Lead the delivery of the curriculum to ensure it is delivered effectively, in accordance with relevant policy and procedures within the company
• Provide regular reports on student progress, attendance and behavior to demonstrate to the institutional management team that delivery is being managed to schedule.
• In conjunction with the standards team, conduct audits of teaching standards across the team to ensure consistency of approach.
• Level 4 Qualification in Teaching and Learning
• At least 2 years experience designing training following eligible BSAT/DSAT/ADDIE IQA (V1) forms
• 5 years experience delivering training gained outside QTI (or 2 years inside) offering either:
• Training of trainees
• Military trade training
• Write the training
• FE College (Engineering or Science)
