Manama, June 1 (BNA): The gender balance committees of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives held a meeting to discuss developments, joint activities and the implementation of gender balance plans between the two secretariats.
The Parliament Committee is chaired by Dr. Yasser Saqr Al-Shirawi, Assistant Secretary General for Resources and Services, and the Shura Council Committee is chaired by Dr. Fawzia Youssef Al-Jib, Assistant Secretary General for Relations, Media and Research.
The meeting discussed plans for cooperation with strategic partners, especially the Supreme Council for Women and other parties, in order to further enhance the status of Bahraini women.
Al-Shirawi stressed the holding of periodic meetings between the two committees in order to follow up the implementation of plans and programs and cooperation efforts between the two general secretariats towards enhancing
Gender balance in all areas of work.
