Beijing, May 9 (BNA): The Fujian Museum in east China’s Fujian Province will be the main venue for this year’s World Museum Day, which falls on May 18, according to the National Cultural Heritage Administration.
The museum will host related activities from May 17 to 19 with the theme of “Museums, Sustainability and a Better Life,” Gu Youcai, vice president of administration, said at a press conference on Tuesday.
Gu said annual awards for the best exhibitions from museums across China will be announced throughout the year.
An exhibition on Maritime Silk Road will also be opened at the Fujian Museum on May 18, while a number of exhibitions, seminars, dialogues and special events will be held in museums across the province.
