Manama, February 14 (BNA): Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs. Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met online today with the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Director of the Regional Office for Arab States and Assistant Administrator of the United Nations Development Program Khalida Bouzar.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in its close partnership with the United Nations and its signature on a framework for strategic cooperation and sustainable development between the two sides, with the aim of contributing to the realization of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. sustainable development goals.
He stated that the Kingdom provided all facilities for the work of United Nations programs and offices in Bahrain.
He also pointed out the importance of capacity building and benefiting from leading international experiences in line with the government’s action plan.
For her part, Mrs. Bozar praised the distinguished role played by the Kingdom of Bahrain in strengthening cooperation with the United Nations.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Head of Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikha Aisha bint Ahmed Al Khalifa.
